These gorgeous mugs are completely DIY, so they will be a lot cheaper than the ones you can buy in any store. They are great to give as a gift and they’re so easy to make that it would even be a fun project to do with your children or grandchildren. They look pretty, they’re cheap and they’re easy to make. What more could you want? Perhaps the list of things you need, so here it is:
nail polish (you can use multiple colours if you want)
warm water
plastic container (deep enough that a mug fits into it)
skewer
white ceramic mug
some greaseproof paper

This is what you need to do
Fill the plastic container with warm water and then pour the nail polish in your desired colours on top of the water. Use the skewer to slowly stir it through until a fun pattern emerges. Be creative with this! Don’t stir like crazy, though, because then it will just become one big mess. You’ll get the prettiest effect when the colours don’t mix but stay separated. Carefully dip the ceramic mug into the water. Leave the mug to dry for at least three hours. When it’s done, don’t put it in the dishwasher but always wash it by hand. It’s the perfect gift for birthdays, Christmas or as a housewarming present!
